Srushti Dehmukh started preparing for UPSC during the final year of her engineering bachelor's degree. When she finished her senior year of engineering, Srushti Deshmukh questioned if she would enjoy working in engineering. In the end, she realized that civil services was her passion and focused on it. Parents encouraged her to become civil servants and seek an employment in the public sector. She focused her energy on becoming an IAS officer. To be able to pass UPSC is a lot of work. While she was studying in her engineering courses, she used to also study for different subjects of UPSC. This exam preparation was done each day. She studied for the engineering exams in just one and a half months. She stayed out of social situations. She believes that focusing solely on what needs to be done is the key to passing the exam. She was determined to get through the test quickly, so she was able to put in a lot of effort. Everyday, she read the newspaper to keep up with current events. Additionally, she received a lot of online support by gathering studies materials and watching Rajya Sabha TV.
