Yael Yael, who is an Australian who lives in New York City, played Lorna in Orange Is the New Black. Yael is a graduate of NIDA. Yael had the privilege to be able from an early stage to be a part of Australia's premier storytellers and performers along with pioneers working in the television, film and theatre industry. Yael has had a long and successful career in Australia. A continuing collaboration with Australia's much-lauded director Neil Armfield culminated in the internationally-renowned production Diary of a Madman, in which she starred opposite Academy- Emmy- and Tony Award-winning actor Geoffrey Rush. Yael was able to find a new location in New York City when the production played to critical acclaim at The Brooklyn Academy of Music (BAM). Yael was the co-founder of The Cannery. The Cannery encourages innovative creativity, writing and artistic endeavors through it's Bushwick studio.
